My December favorites could easily be the exact same collection of items from year to year. With Christmas trees, festive drinks, and Santa mugs; there is so much to love in December. Seriously, every Christmas related decoration or treat could have made it on this list but I’ve managed to limit myself to one holiday item among my selection of December favorites.
Twisted Peppermint Candle from Bath & Body Works
Anybody remember Bath & Body Works’ Jack Frost candle from back in the day? No? Just me? When I was little I remember my mom burning the Jack Frost candle at Christmas time and throughout the winter. That candle was the smell of winter for me, fresh and minty; it was perfect. Until they canceled it. Good news, though, the Twisted Peppermint candle is almost exactly the same. Cool peppermint, sugared snow, vanilla buttercream, fresh balsam, and a hint of musk make the Twisted Peppermint candle an absolute favorite of mine for this time of year.
Laura Geller Tropical Hues Blush
Let’s be real, I can’t afford to buy high-end full price make up even though I wish I could. That’s why Birchbox is a gift from the makeup gods. For only $10 a month, you receive samples of high end or new products by the best cosmetic companies in the business. Thanks to Birchbox I discovered Laura Geller’s Tropical Hues blush which instantly became my favorite blush. With swirls of coral, pink, and bronze it’s perfect for any time of year.
Koval Dry Gin
Fun fact, I love gin. Not only do I love Koval because they are a Chicago based, organic distillery, but Koval’s Dry Gin is my absolute favorite. Finally, in December I treated myself to a bottle of my own.. And HELLO beautiful packaging. From its intricate design to the metallic accents, I love everything about Koval’s packaging design.
Old Navy Blanket Scarf
This Blanket Scarf from Old Navy is easily the softest blanket scarf ever. With the freezing cold weather we had in Chicago during December, I needed all the help I could get to keep warm. This scarf was my savior. It’s huge which is a major plus when it comes to blanket scarves. Nothing is better than wrapping yourself in warmth that is both comfy and cute.
Amazon’s Echo Dot
How did I previously manage to live without Alexa? I don’t know how I ever played music or set a timer before she came into my life. From checking the weather to staying updated on sports, Alexa is my girl. For only $50, the Echo Dot is an insanely inexpensive tech toy that actually comes in handy. It has tons of skills that transform the tiny device into a bartender, alarm clock, or personal assistant.
Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Foaming Bath
Once the frigid cold weather of December hit, baths were a necessity. Not much compares to a relaxing evening with a bath bomb, tub full of bubbles and a glass of wine. I’ve been searching for a while for the perfect bubble bath, and finally found this favorite of mine. Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Foaming Bath creates just enough bubbles while also nourishing skin. With a subtle refreshing scent, it doesn’t overpower and easily complements any bath bomb or melt.
What were your December favorites? Anything I should try out? Let me know!
