For me, January had its highs and lows. After recovering from the holidays, catching up with friends, saying goodbye to my childhood puppy, my birthday celebrations, and a stomach flu, this month has been a rollercoaster ride. But, no matter how crazy my month was, there’s always time for finding a few new “favorites.” And so, here we are with my January favorites. A diverse bunch, these are the things I’ve been absolutely loving lately.
DIFF Eyewear Sunglasses
My little bro, Adam, got me these for Christmas and I’ve been obsessed with them ever since. Sadly, a majority of January has been cloudy here in Chicago but I wore these every chance I got. I have the Dime II style, and with matte black rims and purple lenses, these were right up my alley. But, not only are they super adorable, the company donates a pair of reading glasses for every pair sold. It’s worth getting yourself a pair.
I splurged. But sometimes you just have to treat yourself, right? That’s what I keep telling myself anyway. I’ve been thinking about the Apple Watch for a while now, and finally, with a little encouraging from my friends, I went for it. Although it’s expensive. I do actually think it is well worth the investment. I’m in love with it and wear it every day for activity tracking, email checking, and of course to tell time, duh.
Lush Lip Scrub
Hello, soft and supple lips. Every winter I feel like I’m just constantly battling dry lips. Even after slathering chapstick on 24/7, any amount of time with lipstick on and my lips are back to where they started. It’s not only just part of my January favorites, this Lush Lip Scrub has become one of my favorite Lush products. Exfoliating has helped me so much to rejuvenate my dry lips, plus it actually tastes good too.
Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Pens
I admit, I totally geek out when it comes to pens and stationery. These pens are my favorite ever. Hands down. Yes, I color coordinate my planner and yes, I know I’m a psycho. But it makes me feel organized and it makes my planner pretty. These pens easily made my January favorites list because they not only come in so many colors, but the ink doesn’t smear and they write flawlessly.
Gold Champagne Glasses
Champagne itself could have easily made it on my list of January Favorites. This New Year sparked my new love for champagne. With more alcohol than wine yet fewer calories, champagne couldn’t be more perfect. And with these flawless gold champagne glass, I really have a hard time finding reasons to not drink champagne more. As a Christmas gift from my friend, Morgan, these glasses came into my life and have had quite a lot of use over the last month. Even Sophie likes them.
Elf Illuminating Palette
A beautiful palette that’s easy to blend and lasts all day. For a $6 palette, it really has amazing pigment. Highlighting has become so popular lately that highlighting palettes are everywhere. Forget spending your money on expensive highlighters. Stop by Target to pick one of these up and you’ll be all set in the highlighting department. I give you permission to use it as a reason to go to Target. You’re welcome.
