I feel it, can you feel it? Maybe it’s the warm weather we had yesterday, or the rain showers we have today, but it’s actually starting to feel like spring. It’s strange to think spring is coming since just last week we were buried in snowstorms. But, here we are at the end of March, with spring right around the corner. Finally.
The fact that spring is coming makes me so beyond excited for patio nights, open windows, and spring-cleaning. Wait, what? Yes, mom, I’m looking forward to spring-cleaning. I never thought I would admit it, but I’m so ready for a nice deep clean and reorganization of our apartment. Those long winter months made me feel like our apartment has gotten so cramped and stuffy. We are in need of a reevaluation on space and some fresh air.
It’s been a year and a half since Graham and I moved into our apartment, and while we clean pretty often, we haven’t had a major deep clean of the place since we moved in. It’s definitely time to rearrange, reorganize and really clean everything. We don’t have a ton of space to work with, so I think it would be good to rearrange some furniture while we’re at it. And of course, I’m an organization freak so reorganizing is a given. Maybe it’s just me, but overtime and especially throughout winter I get desperate for change, even the most simple updates can make such a difference.
A spring-cleaning is exactly what we all need. While the New Year brought time to reflect on goals and resolutions, I think spring is the perfect time for new beginnings. Whether you literally need to clean your living space, or if you need to clean up your life, spring is a great time to do so. It’s time to go through your closet and get rid of unneeded items. Start eating those salads you told yourself you would eat more of. Get rid of the clutter in your living space. Try taking yoga classes if you’ve always wanted to. Toss those products that you never use in the trash. Quit those bad habits you fall into. Find a purposeful space for everything. If you’re tired of having your couch on that one wall, move it. Make the change.
Spring is coming, are you ready?
