If you’re looking for the perfect summer read, look no further. I swear everyone is already reading The Woman in Cabin 10, but if you’re one of the few people who haven’t picked it up yet, DO IT. Last fall I read another one of Ruth Ware’s psychological thrillers, In A Dark, Dark Wood, and instantly knew I would love The Woman in Cabin 10. I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Now, I’m typically not the fastest reader, but I flew through The Woman in Cabin 10 in just two days. It helped that I was on vacation, but I seriously just didn’t even want to put it down. The storyline quickly draws you in with twists and turns from beginning to end. If you liked Girl On The Train, you’ll love The Woman in Cabin 10. I will admit it is very similar, featuring a female, anxiety ridden narrator whose own paranoid thoughts lead the murder mystery. Ware created a group of interesting and truly unique characters. Reading the book reminded me of playing the board game “Clue,” constantly trying to work out who may have committed a crime, with what, and how everything would pan out.
Psychologic thrillers are right up my alley when it comes to books I’ll enjoy. But I really do think that it’s a book that anyone would love. I think it is the perfect summertime read. There’s nothing more relaxing than sitting by the pool with a good read. Ok, maybe you need a summery cocktail too. So grab The Woman in Cabin 10, a cool drink, and enjoy some relaxation.
